Visual Poem
For this project, I was challenged to create a visual poem based on an audio snippet of my choosing. A teammate and I came across an old recording about the act of seeing, and it inspired us to explore abstract metaphors for perception. We focused on macro photography of foam bubbles, drawn to the way they bend and scatter light while forming delicate, transient structures.
We shot everything using a Canon 60D with a 100mm macro lens, using RGB lighting to shape mood and depth. This was well outside my comfort zone, but the process was surprisingly rewarding.
One of my favorite moments is when a bubble pops in perfect sync with the voiceover saying, “nothing, nothing at all.”
