Mario Animation
While I was in college and didn’t have much disposable income, I still wanted to give my nephew something meaningful for his birthday.
He was completely obsessed with Mario at the time, so I thought it would be fun if Mario could wish him a happy birthday. I created a short animated message using Cinema 4D, Redshift, Trapcode Particular, and After Effects. To make the animation feel more dynamic, I taught myself how to use Cinema 4D’s Motion System to create layered animation tracks, which let me blend movements similar to how a game character switches between animation states.
It turned into a full mini production. I handled everything from rigging and animating to lighting, texturing, compositing, and rendering.
