
Epic Door Sequence
This was a cinematic concept I created as a personal exploration into game-style visual storytelling. I wanted to design an epic “door reveal” sequence, something you might see in a fantasy or horror game. At first, I considered the classic skull-mouth-opening idea, but it felt a little too expected. So I started thinking about other parts of the human skeleton that could function as a door.
That led me to the ribcage. Its natural shape reminded me of a set of double doors, and I thought it would be striking if the skeleton itself played an active role. The final idea became a mausoleum door embedded with a full skeleton that pulls open its own chest, revealing the entrance.
It was a fun balance of visual storytelling, anatomy-inspired design, and pushing past the first idea to find something more memorable.
