Circle Theory LCM

This was a fun 3D experiment I created to explore what’s often called “circle theory” in animation, which uses least common multiples to sync looped motion over time. I built a system of rotating rings with spheres that phase in and out based on offset timing intervals.

The goal was to see how separate cycles could interact and gradually align into a satisfying full loop. I animated everything in Cinema 4D, lit and rendered it with Redshift, and did some post work in After Effects. It was a great way to explore mathematical rhythm and looping structure through visual motion.
